Book Haul: More birthday stuff

In the past two weeks I've received some more birthday gifts (books) from my aunty and one review book that I'm very excited to read. At the moment I am still reading the same book that I've been stopping and starting for quite a while now. Instead of finishing it in my time off from work I've been doing other stuff (like drooling over clothes on ebay - which I might have to put in a future haul- and slowly making progress with tidying my room).

I'm nearly finished watching 'Charmed' season 4 and was wondering if anyone would be interested in reading a review? I don't watch a lot of supernatural TV shows so I'm not sure how valuable my opinion would be, and I've never actually reviewed something that wasn't a book before. I'm really enjoying the show and I've actually gotten a few ideas from it for posts about books (through themes and such that I've noticed in the show).

FROM MY AUNTY:
My mum gave my aunty the idea of using the shelfari wishlist and I sent her the link.

The Magnolia League (Magnolia League, #1)
'The Magnolia League' by Katie Crouch
-I've been drooling over this one for a while. The premise sounded a bit like 'Great and Terrible Beauty' by Libba Bray.

The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1)
'The Girl of Fire and Thorns' by Rae Carson

Fragile Things: Short Fictions and Wonders
'Fragile Things' by Neil Gaiman
-After enjoying 'Smoke and Mirrors' so much (and this is about a quarter of the way through - I'm still reading it) I decided that I really must invest in all things Neil Gaiman.

'Water Paper Paint' by Heather Smith Jones
-It's an arty book about mixed media art and watercolour.

FROM SIMON AND SCHUSTER:

Cyndi Lauper: A Memoir
'Cyndi Lauper: A Memoir' by Cyndi Lauper and Jancee Dunn
-I'm a bit of a fan and thought this would be a lot of fun so I requested it.

What did you get in the mail this week?

Oh yay! Magnolia League has been on my wish list! You'll have to let me know how it is.
I am not a fan of Cyndi Lauper. I actually met her once and she was very rude! That just stuck with me and I have disliked her ever since.

And Happy Belated Birthday!
