Haul: Books and Whatnot

So, it's not even Easter yet and I've already eaten some chocolate. I've spent most of this week drooling over the new purchases/arrivals and fantasizing about watching season one of 'Charmed' so it should be no surprise for me to tell you that I have bought more 'Charmed' stuff and have spent most of today watching it. I was a little annoyed that one of my disks was scratched and that the others had been sweating (warning not to store DVDs in a cardboard box under your bed when you live in a room here temperatures vary between hot and cold on a daily basis thanks to aircon  and Australian summers), but we do have DVD cleaner so I don't think it should be too much of a problem now.

Unfortunately my Blogger app didn't know how to put the pictures in the order I planned to put them in so you will have to suffer. Mwahahaha!

^Here are a bunch of VCR's my grandmother sent to us. She doesn't have room for them and she can't really see that well so she sent them to us. There were like 100 of them in total, so we picked through them and put the rest in a to sell pile. These are the ones that I chose. They all have catalogue numbers written on them in permanent texta and how lucky am I that we actually own a video player. Dad picked a copy of 'Once Upon a Time in the West' and we watched that. The theme song is quite addictive.

I used the Vignette app to make the picture black and white and chose cyan accents. All the pics in this post are edited using Vignette.

^This is my new obsession. I love the vintage packaging and have been carting it around when I get bored, harassing parents and pets with it. I bought it on Modcloth website. So far I can make train noises and can sorta play 'Love me Tender' if you know any sites with any good tabs for harmonica please let me know in the comments.

^This is my new album 'Comedown Machine' buy the strokes. While the songs are fairly different to what I am used to I really like them. Especially track 10, whatever that is...

^I painted my nails in monarch butterfly style again, except this time I used orange. The colour I had was more tangerine than orange and was so bright that it matched my dad's tractor! I did this design on Sunday and it's still going strong through guitar playing and everything.

^More Modcloth! The scarf was supposed to be light blue rather than green, but I kind of like that it almost perfectly matches the sunnies. I really like the earrings too they look like they are crocheted. My dad says the sunnies look like something off Mad Men.

^Here are my book purchases for the week (and review books). I bought 'Charmed' Vol 2,3&4; Vintage Beauty Parlour by Hannah Wing and Let's Bring Back: The Lost Language Edition.  Harper Collins sent me a review copy of 'The Crafty Minx at Home' and Pan Macmillan sent my 'Girl Detective' by Simmone Howell.

I am considering purchasing some more graphic novels and some Charmed fiction once I have finished with these volumes of Charmed. I am also really excited about my lost language book and the Kelly Doust book. Bring on the Vintage!

How did you like this layout for a haul post? What did you get in the mail this week? I hope you are all having a lovely week and a lovely easter:)

Natalie

Your monarch nails are so immensely pretty! Butterflies and this time of year go hand-in-hand (wing-in-wing? :) ) so wonderfully well.

Wishing you a beautiful April, dear gal!
