Book Haul: A whole stack of books

In the past few weeks, I received a lot of books. This is probably one of the biggest hauls ever. Compared to the amount of books I've finished this week (none) the incoming amount of books is crazy. I am still reading the same book since the last haul ('The Secret Keeper' by Kate Morton), but am enjoying it more than you might imagine.

FROM SIMON AND SCHUSTER:

'Granny Chic' by Tif Russel & Rachel Blondel
-I almost forgot about the request I made for this review book and was so surprised to see it in the mail. Surprised and delighted. It's a non-fiction crafty book with a few ideas for sewing/knitting/crochet etc in the home. I just can't wait to try out some of these cool ideas!

FROM PENGUIN:
Bitter Blood (The Morganville Vampires, #13)
'Bitter Blood' (Morganville Vampires Book #13) by Rachel Caine
- This is a series I've been wanting to read, but haven't gotten into. So, you can see I didn't request this one. I guess I'll just have to hold onto it until I've read enough to review it?

FROM PAN MACMILLAN:
Echo (Soul Seekers, #2)
'Echo' by Alyson Noel
-I thought that 'Fated' was a good novel. It wasn't fantastic, but it was a lot better than 'Evermore'. I'd like to see where the author can take this series.

The Skeleton Key (Pandora English, #3)
'The Skeleton Key' (Pandora English #3) by Tara Moss
-Another series I've been meaning to read. Guess I'll have to wait until I can read those ones too.

FROM FISHPOND:
Every now and then I buy a stack of books from this site as a gift to myself (as if I don't already have enough stuff). This purchase was a late birthday present to myself (my birthday was in September) and there are a few things still to turn up.

The Awakening (Darkest Powers, #2)
'The Awakening' (Darkest Powers #2) by Kelley Armstrong

Dash & Lily's Book of Dares
'Dash and Lily's Book of Dares' by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

Witches of East End (The Beauchamp Family, #1)
'Witches of East End' by Melissa de la Cruz

The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making (Fairyland, #1)
'The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making' by Catherynne M. Valentine
-It would have to be one of the longest book titles I have ever seen. I know it's a middle grade book, but it looked so good and it was only $7 dollars. I thought it was worth a try.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight
'The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight' by Jennifer E. Smith.

Sweetly
'Sweetly' by Jackson Pearce
Finally I've bought one of her books! This one is a retelling of Hansel and Gretel

Orchids On Your Budget: Or Live Smartly On What You Have
'Orchids on Your Budget' by Majorie Hillis
-It's a non-fiction book about budgeting, written in 1937. Apparently it's still pretty relevant today.

Style Me Vintage: The Complete Guide to Creating a Retro Look: Hair, Make-up, Clothes
'Style Me Vintage: Look Book' by Naomi Thompson, Belinda Hay and Katie Reynolds
-It's a bind-up of three other books of the same title. One focuses on Hair, one focuses on Clothes and the other Make-up. It works out cheaper than buying the books individually.

Minxy Vintage: How to Customise and Wear Vintage Clothing
'Minxy Vintage' by Kelly Doust
-Another non-fiction. I wrote a review on it already.

The Golden Age of Couture: Paris and London 1947-1957
'The Golden Age of Couture: Paris and London 1947-57' Edited by Claire Wilcox
-I think the title speaks for itself

The Black Apple's Paper Doll Primer: Activities and Amusements for the Curious Paper Artist
'The Black Apple's Paper Doll Primer' by Emily Winfield Martin
-I just love making paper dolls out of old fashion magazines, so I thought I'd try crafting some of my own with the help of this book.

FROM MODCLOTH:
I just can't seem to stay away from this place...

What on Earth Are You Wearing?: A Michipedia of Fashion
'What on Earth Are You Wearing' by Michi Girl

-two scarves I bought (even though winter is far far away)

-pin wheel earrings, a cassette necklace, quotation mark earrings and pearl/knot studs

FROM JB HIFI:
I bought:
'The Audrey Hepburn Story' (DVD)
'A Very She and Him Christmas by She and Him (CD)

I also bought various tube skirts, scallop tops, cardies in various shades (they've been mentioned in previous posts).

What did you get in the mail this week?
