Top Ten Tuesday: My Top Ten Favourite Characters

Tumblr_lzfzief2tj1r217sqo1_500_large
Top Ten Tuesday is a meme

I don't want to get all gushy about a certain series, but I probably will.

1. SYDNEY from 'Vampire Academy' series and 'Bloodlines' by Richelle Mead
A character I can actually Identify with for once! The sort of girl who covers her skin and thinks logically. I also really dig her level of intelligence, the fact that she is loyal to her friends and her work ethic. It's nice to read through the eyes of a character who cares about more important things than some guy. Also, props to Richelle Mead for writing a novel in first person (with Sydney as the main character) where the character is able to be naive and the reader can tell what's going on.

2.ROSE from 'Vampire Academy'
She is one kick-ass character. Who cares about damsels? I like female characters that can think and/or fight for themselves. Rose says what she thinks, stands up for what she believes in and goes on a crazy journey just so she can fulfill a promise to her friend.

3.DIMITRI from 'Vampire Academy'
A Russian guy who reads westerns? who wouldn't think that was cool?

4.ADRIAN from 'Vampire Academy'
He's funny and an artist...

5. DONIA from 'Wicked Lovely' series by Melissa Marr
She's both wicked and kind. She can withstand the cold. She was not "meant-to-be" and yet she still managed to get the guy she wanted.

6. JACE from 'City of Bones' by Cassandra Clare
I like his sense of humour. He's also got this whole devil-may-care thing, where he tries foolish stuff, which is cool.

7. WANDA from 'The Host' by Stephenie Meyer
She manages to convince humans to like her when she is their worst enemy.

8. DAMON from 'Vampire Diaries' by L.J. Smith
The coolest vampire ever? He is sometimes bad, sometimes good and again with the sense of humour. I like funny characters...

9. ESTHER from 'The Bell Jar' by Sylvia Plath
She thinks too much. I like this about people. Don't ask me why I just do. It's pretty interesting the sort of theories these kinds of people come up with.

10. ANY OF SARAH ADDISON ALLEN'S CHARACTERS.
There are a few authors that just create good characters. Kate Morton, Erin Morgenstern and Alice Hoffman are a few others.

Who were your favourites?
