Since I indulged in a few online shopping sprees lately I thought I might break my usual "rule" and share the stuff in a haul. I am definitely a little behind with the beauty aspect of my blog so I thought it wouldn't hurt to share my beauty purchases in a haul with you guys. I did five orders. I ordered once from Target online and I ordered twice from both Crush Cosmetics and ASOS. There are also a few things included that I purchased earlier on, but I'm not going to include everything that I haven't already hauled or this would be the longest blog post ever. I also just wanted to apologise about the photos. I know they are not the best quality as they were taken on the mobile phone camera and the lighting was off (thank you weather). I also realised I didn't position things that well...
^I know these are books and not products, but I just wanted to share the new 'Etiquette' one I got. I love how miniature and "vintage" these are. I really want to get a few more books from this range about photography and stuff. I think they would be really nice to have, but I think I will have to go looking for them on Ebay or something, because these two are the only ones that seem to be in-stock on the usual book websites.
^These items are from my two ASOS orders. I got mostly Bourjois brand stuff as ASOS has the best prices I have seen for that brand cosmetics and I haven't tried too much by them before. I really like the foundation so far. I have oily/blemish prone skin and I can wear both of these without primer or powder and it lasts! I got them both in the shade 'Light Vanilla' and it matches my skin perfectly.
^I also bought these two lip balms from ASOS. I used to have the Rose version but it split open. I ended up giving my mum the Lemon one, because the scent is not my favourite.
^I went a little Milani Crazy on the Crush Cosmetics website. I got the Milani Colour Statement lipstick in 'Chocolate Berries', 'Black Cherry', 'Sangria', 'Double Espresso' and 'Violet Volt'. The end of the lipstick is the colour of the lipstick inside, but in this photo they all look black...
The bronzer was a free gift.
^I purchased a bunch of NYX lip liners from Crush Cosmetics as well. They sent me their oblique brush to try (which has 'Crush cosmetics' written on the otherside- gotta love my photography/placement skills- not). I got a Love Alpha Liquid Eyeliner Duo in 04 and the glitter brush was separated. I contacted Crush Cosmetics through Facebook and they sent me a replacement straight away. I am really happy with their customer service so far. I also got a Love Alpha Gel Eyeliner in Gold. It's more of a Khaki/Bronze kind of colour, but it does look great and comes with a brush.
^Here are some Revlon Lip Butters I bought a while ago in other orders. I plan on writing a review on these this summer.
^I also got some Milani Bella Eyes Baked Eye shadows and Baked Blushes.
The eye shadows are: Bella Caffe, Bella Pink, Bella White, Bella Mandarin and Bella Sky
The Blushes are: Pink Delizio and Dolce Pink
*Milani packaging shows fingerprints really bad... Sorry, but I don't clean make-up products before I photograph them. I want you to see a realistic representation of how they "wear"
^Some of these are from Target Online and I think the rest is from a shopping trip where I actually went to Target. There was a sale on so Chi chi was significantly discounted and I really wanted to try some things by them. And, I really wanted to get some coloured mascara...
^This glitter nail polish pack is a pre-christmas gift from Mum.
Since getting a new car and starting visits to the chiropractor I have to really cut back on my Beauty purchases, but I am definitely hoping to have a little bit of a splurge on some after-Christmas sales. There are a few new products out there that I am hoping to give a go, and I am hoping to get a few more colours in the Milani range.
^Today I tried out a make-up look with some of the new products I got. This picture was taken inside.
FACE: Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation in 'Light Vanilla', Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer, SAVVY Loose Mineral Powder in 'Finishing Veil' (To Set Under-eye area), Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 'Translucent', Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer, Sleek Contour Kit in Light (Highlighter), And, Milani Baked Blush in Pink Delizio.
EYES: Avon Brow Kit, Limecrime Eye shadow Helper, Chi Chi Bases Palette (Brow Bone and Inner Corner), Milani Bella Eyes in 'Bella Sky' (Lid), Chi Chi Baked Eye shadow in 'Living on a Prayer' (Crease), Milani Bella Eyes in 'Bella Caffe' (Transition shade), Love Alpha Gel Eyeliner in 'Gold' and NYX Blue Mascara.
LIPS: Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in 'Peach Parfait'
^Picture taken outside. I closed my eyes, because the sun had come out by this time and it was really bright. Apologies for the overgrown eyebrows.
^Close up of eye-makeup taken indoors. I really like this mascara. It's a decent formula and it isn't super crazy. The colour is only really obvious in the sun. I really liked how this looked with the gold liner behind it.
MANICURE TIME!
To see any of the details from these stamped manicures please check out the Facebook Album.
^This manicure is inspired by the Lana Del Rey song 'National Anthem' and it's film clip. In case you didn't already know I am a huge Lana Del Rey fan. I also really like foil nail polishes...
^This was inspired by the Prada SS2012 range. I wrote this Style post when the line originally came out and I am still kind of obsessed...
^Christmas nails! Expect a few more of these...
I hope you enjoyed my 'Beauty' haul. Please let me know if you are interested in hearing my thoughts on any of these items. I am hoping to get quite a few reviews done in the holidays ( which I am currently on), but I do have other things planned too, so we will see.
Have you been taking advantage of the Beauty sales leading up to Christmas?
