Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Characters that Remind Me of Me

Tumblr_m4e1zxn2xo1r5ytowo1_1280_large

Top ten Tuesday is a Meme

I have not done one of these in AGES. So I saw this weeks theme and thought "Why ever not?" . Being the sort of selfish type I can sometimes be (well according to some) I thought this theme would be perfect for me!

1. SYDNEY from 'Bloodlines' series by Richelle Mead
- I'm not religious, but I'm very stubborn about my morals. I'm 18 (turning 19 in September) and I'm the lame sort of person that decides to not go out because my favourite tv show is on (and something else is being recorded on the dvd player with the recording thingy on it), I'm the girl that says no to going out because I can't afford to, I'm the girl that says "No." to another drink because I don't want to get wasted, the girl who goes home at eleven... And, I'm also kind of literal

2 .ESTHER from 'The Bell Jar' by Sylvia Plath
-I'm not suicidal, but I find it fascinating. Also, I question a lot of stuff that goes on, to do with men and women and equality. Yeah, I know femminism happened, but sometimes I still feel like the world is a bit screwed up with some of that stuff.

3. DONIA from 'Wicked Lovely' series by Melissa Marr
-Sometimes I feel a bit cold inside. I think I'm a nice enough person, but somebody annoys me and I get in my "wicked witch" mood. I think if I had the power to turn someone to ice I probably would.

4. DAPHNE from 'Smoulder' (Also known as 'Space Between') by Brenna Yovanoff
-Daphne is new to the mortal world. Sometimes I feel a bit that way. Even though I've lived in the same town for most of my life, I still don't know my way around that well. Also, sometimes I'll notice something about people or nature that's allways been there...

5. LENA from 'Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants' by Ann Brashares
-She says that thing about how her friends have lived more than her, that they knew who they were, but she didn't, that they had lost people, And she hadn't. And, yet she would cry, And, she felt they were stronger than her... or something. And, I totally get that.

6. EDIE from 'The Distant Hours' by Kate Morton
-She had a real love for literature. There were certain books she liked so much, that she would reread and reread and reread them. Also, she bought an old house. One day I want to do that.

7. BRIONY from 'Atonement' by Ian McEwan
-I don't think I could do what she did to that poor couple. I just think the bit about her fantasising, about curling up and dying under the tree reminded me of myself. Especially when I was little, I used to imagine scenarios where I would runaway or hide out of sheer fulishness.

8. CHLOE from 'The Sugar Queen' by Sarah Addison Allen
-Again with the house buying. Also, she clearly has a thing for books and books for her.

9. WANDA from 'The Host' by Stephenie Meyer
-She's really scared of everything, but she is also really determined to prove people wrong about her.

10. EMMA from 'One Day' by David Nicholls
-She's a bit argumentative, stubborn, talented and is always getting harrassed by people about getting a boyfriend. Need I say more.

Wow! That was a lot harder than I thought. What was your top ten?

I apologise for any typos. Spell check is not working.

I only just realised that I could have chosen to have written about people I know and not just about me! woops! That would have been so much easier!
