Top ten Tuesday: Books that make me emotional.

The Best books are the ones that make you feel something.

1. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.
This book made me very mad. Especially at the begining when Jane is treated so harshly. I also can be prone to crying when her friend Helen dies and when she reunites with Mr Rochester. I think this is mainly because I really identify with the character. I wasn't hard done by or anything, but I think her and I are similar in some ways.

2. Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson.
I think most the anger I get in relation to this book is because of the fact it was banned. Banning that book was such a stupid thing to do. There are so many people who could be benefited by this novel. I also thought this book was kinda funny at times. The main character Melinda does  such a good job of ridiculing everybbody.

3.The Hand that First Held Mine by Maggie O'Farrel
What a great book! It had me grinning, laughing, crying, angry... I guess all of that comes with the territory of any motherhood related story line. The full emotional package and I haven't even had kids.

4.Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
Nope. didn't cry. Did get angry though. Did feel triumphant at the end.

5.Amy and Roger's Epic Detour
Yep I had a few tears escape during this  novel. I also happened to have fallen in love with Roger.

6.Crooked Pieces by Sara Grazebrook
About th suffrogates. Had detailed things about hunger strikes and being forcefed. Made me feel incredibly angry and grossed out.

7.At Home with the Templetons by Monica Mcinerny
Love, Hate, Family dramas...

8.Burnt Snow by Van Badham
Funny and angry. Your Typical teenage dramas as a witch who shapeshifts into a bear. A must read.

9.Vampire Kisses: The beginning by Ellen Schreiber
The Funny and heartbreaking adventures of a goth girl. Short and sweet. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

10. Pride& Prejudice or Sense& Sensibility by Jane Austen.
It's a tie. I can't think of anyone who conjures more emotion from her audience than Jane Austen. Flipping literary genius.

Oh I can't believe I forgot Speak! That is an excellent novel. I've never read Jane Eyre, I really have to. I can't believe it just keeps sitting on my TBR list.

Speak is amazing! And I can't believe I didn't even think about Amy & Roger's Epic Detour for my list. It's one of the best books I read this year, and definitely very emotional. Great list!
