Originally I was planning to spend my Holiday pay on a $100 fishpond order. I wanted to get tones of classics, a few childhood reads I never finished and 'The Peachkeeper'. We decided on Friday that we should go shopping in another town on Saturday and instead I spent around $400 on clothes, books that were not on my list and some jewellery. Would have to be one of the first times that I did not buy a single dvd or cd. I do not know If I will be ordering any fishpond orders soon...
WHAT I BOUGHT:
'Touch of Power' by Maria V Snyder
-Will be my first read by this author. Isn't the cover beautiful. It was also on my list of 'Top ten books I can't wait for in 2012'
'Angel Arias' by Marianne de Pierres (Book 2 of 'The Night Creatures')
I was a bit iffy about this. I thought that 'Burn Bright' was well written and very interesting, but I thought it was perhaps a little too sexy for a YA novel.
'Night World :Volume 1' by L. J. Smith
-I really enjoyed the first two books in the VD series, so I thought I'd give this a go.
'Vampire Academy: The Ultimite Guide' by Michelle Rowen and Richelle Mead
-I normally don't buy "guides" because they tend to either really bore me or be full of total rubbish like 'And isn't it such a coincidence that my name is Renee too' and 'Edward is so yummy', but I really like this series, so I would be interested in this one if it has actual infomation about the series.
'Worldwide Adventures in Love' by Loise Wener
-I have never heard of it before, but it was pretty and sounded interesting.
'The Temptress' by Paul Spicer
-I'm still trying to figure out if this is a biography or a novel. But it was only $5 and it wwas pretty so I bought it.
'Catching the Tide' by Judith Lennox
-This is Adult historical fiction and had a beautiful cover. Only $7.99 at QBD

Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog! Haha yeah starting a group on not to buy a million books sounds good! I was thinking of starting an Aus/NZ bookswap blog/group but don't really know how to go about it without it becoming too messy. Hmmm.
Just finished Cinder last night, it was ok. I'll still read book 2 and 3 when they come out, but I was a bit 'eh' about it.
